*Mickey was originally named "MORTIMER MOUSE". Walt Disney's wife Lillian thought that MICKEY would sound better, and convinced Walt to change the name shortly before the iconic mouse's theatrical debut.
"Steamboat Willie" wasn't the name of any of the cartoon characters. Rather, it was the title of the tune Mickey is whistling in the above image.
