I honestly don't get the "homeless bad" mentality. They're stuck in a bad spot and they need help.

Probably because it's proof that not everyone can prosper in a purely capitalist economy.

I am a fan of capitalism, despite its flaws. I think the government should provide to those who cannot provide for themselves.

Exactly. Only a responsible government can fix certain issues.

What America has now for an economy needs a lot of changes. It f**ks people over and gives others an unfair advantage, such as people from wealthy families.

Yeah, it is a flawed system. However, a responsible government isn't really a thing which can last. It might be the libertarian in me, but I wouldn't trust a government to remain responsible forever.

Yeah, good point. That's why I'm not that authoritarian. Power can fall into the wrong hands too easily.

No matter what good changes are done, thing can end up undone. I believe in democracy. And having it set up so power doesn't fall into the "wrong" hands would most likely go against what I believe.

It's not hopeless, though. I believe there's almost always another way.
