Charon inhaled loudly,his hand on his switchblade knife, about to flick it open,"IsparedhimIsparedhimIsparedhim"he stared chanting to himself, putting the blade away, h got Jake by his colar, and threw him against a tree."Listen, I kill because of the situation that we're in,and I spared you because I thought you mightve been sane, unlike the rest of the people Ive come across, but if your a little arrogant prick like this to everyone, I think I'll just do the world a favor and end you right now if you dont shape up."he said, letting him go and walking away.

"This is my point!" He says. "The world doesn't need people like me, I'm a cripple, I probably have radiation disease, BUT YOU SPARED ME!" He laughs. "This is the most special I've felt! Anyways... Im surprised you're not insane like the rest of us. This radiation is really killin' me" He laughs.

Charon muttered something,"Oh, yoire special alright...."but the he looked at Jake,"Oh, keep walking with me, I'll become insane to..."he said, then sighed."Look, you wanna know whay I spared you?Natural selection.Thats it."he said, sighing,"Ive considered offing myslf,Im blind, and cant do sh-t without my glasses, you know, but im not, because of natural selection.Maybe being blind is somehow helpfull, and if it means that the next generations are better adapted to deal with this world, then im willing to live."

"You know, that was probably the most inspirational thing I've heard- so far." He coughs and a little blood comes out. "Crap, how far do you think we have left before we c-" He trips on a lock in the middle of the ground. "S--t!"

Charon looked at him, contemplating weather or not to help him.He sighs, and picks him up by his shoulders."How long until we can rest?"he looked at him, "Whats with the we?We are not a team."

"Hey, you still picked me up" He points out. "To me, that shows you still might want me to stick around after we escape this thick forest." He yawns. "Errr, this is taking forever, I think that we might just be heading deeper into this land of uncertanceys. Who knows, maybe we'll find one of those fairy-tale radiation monsters I heard about. I mean, of course, it's fake but still, who knowss" He laughs.

Charon sighs,"I doubt those exist, I think only existing animals with mutations and different traits will be active."he says, shaking his head."Besides, I can handle myself pretty well, as for you....."he pauses,"You know what?Nevermind."he says,putting his shoulder under Jakes and helping him walk."Just another mile, or so.Then we can rest."

He smiles. "I knew it, you care," He says. his stomach starts to rumble. "Hey, we have a problem." He chuckles. "I'm hungry." "Also, I think the forest is getting thicker, did you bring a flashlight?" He starts to yawn while his stomach grumbles.

Charon looked onwards,"Im blind, you think I need a light?"he said, before reaching in his pocket and handing Jake a piece of cooked deer meat.He sighs at himself,"Wow...im practically taking care of you now, arent I?"he said, navigating just fine without light.

Charon sighed, digging in his pocket and handing Jake a piece of deer meat wrapped in parchment paper.He sighed, still helping him walk."Im blind, you think light makes a difference?"he said, walking just as good as he did in daytime."Look, just shut up and eat, okay?Dont worry about running into something, just hold onto me."

"Well that's cute.." He says. He starts tugging at the jerky like his life depended on it. "This is good, how'd you get it? I mean- all the shops have been ravaged and most of the food has disappeared into their mouths." He coughs and blood comes out. "This gosh darned radiation, I wish the war hadn't've started. He kicks a rock with his good foot. "By the way, how are you blind, you cornered me perfectly and you're making your way without mistake, i seriously doubt you are blind at this point."

Charon shrugged, "I killed the deer. I found it wandering around." he trailed off. "It didnt look to sick, actually, and it was good enough to kill. I had to put up a fight though."He said, then he laughed, "I am blind. Trust me. Thats why I ran into the branch earlier." he gave a blank stare. "I can feel the vibrations you make when you walk."he said, looking at him, "And your voice too. You know how im carrying you right now?Thats so I can recognize you by your traits." he said, walking more. "As for cornering you, thats more vibrations. I could feel you stand still." he said, shaking his head. "Look, I know this will make me sound like a nerd, or a smart anime character, but when you stand still, the vibrations of the things around you change. When you stood still, the vibrations around the trees where you were changed." he said, looking forward,"Ive always been sensitive to them, but now that I dont have anything, now im hypersensitive to them." he said, then looked at Jake. "Hey, your coughing sounds....weird. You okay?"

"I wish," He laughs. "I don't know how I survived anyways," he says. "In reality I have a weak immune system and this radiation isn't that good for me, so blood comes out everytime I cough because of the radiation-" he says"- or anything else" he mutters. "Anyways, im bored." He says in a childish tone. "Man, I wish we could escaped this darned forest,". Just then, a low branch smaked is face, as if he was in the mist of karma. "Arrgh" he yells softly. He starts to yawn. "Holy bejesus, it's getting late."

Charon laughed, "Keep talking.Your making it easier to navigate."He laughed, then looked around. "Im not tired at all." he sighs. "I dont know how, but looks like we're a team now...." he gave Jake a side-glance."So, im morally obligated to not leave you behind." he said, walking forward. "Two options. I can carry you, (No-homo)"he whispered."Or we can stop."

He laughs. "I guess we are," he smirks. "I think we should stop, I mean, yes, we should keep going to get out of this place but, I don't have the unlimited energy you have. So, I think we should stop. Also, I just don't want to have such a burden on your shoulders." He snorts. He lets himself down and lays himself at a tree and closes his eyes. "'night" he says tiredly.

Charon looks at him, "G'night." he says, looking at him. He picked up some branches and a rock, and lit a fire for them while slept. Charon looked at the sky."What have I done....?"he thought to himself.

((okay, so heres the thing. I typed up a heckling novel with multiple parts, but my ps vita was like: "Hey you want this?Well, to bad!" and deleted it all....so heres more or less what happened.
This was a week after the first bomb went off, and Charon was about to be killed by some one who lost all their sanity.But, someone saw, and helped him out.The boy offered Charon the option to stay with him, and he took it. (he was much more open and friendly at the time) and they stayed together for about 6moths to a year.but over time, the other boy started to get sick from the radiation, and they ended up getting into a fight with the new talibian, even though they both offered to go peacefully, but the new talibian refused, and they got into a fight. Now, the boy saw someone aiming for Charon, but he jumped in front of him, protecting him. He didnt see the pointing in living when he was already sick, and Charon was perfectly healthy, so after that Charon managed to escape/ the new talibian left and Charon saw his one friend die in his arms. Fast forward 3/6 months to now when hes with Jake, Charon is a lot more closed off, because he thinks the reason the other boy died is because of hi, and if he didnt follow him back then, he would still be alive, and now hes scared that now that Jake wont leave, the same thing will happen to him.))

Charon walled through a forest, walking slowly, avoiding trees and debris.He didnt stay in one place for too long, but he had gotten semi lost, and the fact he didnt have his glasses made things worse.Using his knife to make gashes in the trees to make sure he wasnt going in circles as he walked, he felt along the bark, seeing the sun start to set.

Charon looked at Jake before sitting on a branch above him. "I hope hes not a burden... or the other way around." he said, bedore dozing off.

Basically, in 2148 some new Taliban gathered bomb info and basically set rules for the world, claiming it under their rule. The armies joined together one mass group and fought, endangering the world of radiation. Of course, the new Taliban won and left the people in poverty, dying and alone, but a rebel group comes to form. (It's based off the rebel group.)
