Here’s a few FACTS for you to consider. These were all widely publicized, mainstream media, Lefty ‘science community’ doomsday predictions made since the 1970’s that were horribly wrong. We’re a full two decades beyond when most of these predictions claimed ultimate apocalypse would have already occurred, mass extinctions of nearly all species…blah blah blah.
1. We would be living through a new Ice Age by the year 2000.
2. We would all die because the ozone layer is going to disappear.
3. The oceans would be dead.
4. Global Cooling would destroy the world.
5. Acid rain would destroy our forests.
6. Overpopulation would result in worldwide famine. Hundreds of millions of people would die off over a ten year period. One prediction set the number as high as 4 billion.
7. We would deplete our natural resources. Copper, Lead, Zinc, Tin, Gold, and Silver would all be completely gone by the late 1990’s.
8. We would run out of oil by 2000.
9. The polar ice caps would melt and heavily populated coastal cities around the globe will be submerged. They’re still pushing this idea, yet, those same people continue to buy up property there. Curious.
10. People who live in cities will have to wear gas masks to survive.
11. Nitrogen buildup will make the land unusable.
12. Decaying organic pollutants would use up all of the oxygen in America’s rivers, causing freshwater fish to suffocate
At the time, that list of things was trumpeted as ‘settled science’ and ‘already past the point of no return’ and ‘practically unanimously agreed upon by scientists’.
