So what exactly happend?

Okay,so my parents tell me all the time that (and I know its weird) they tell me all the time that they'd still love/accept me even if I was gay.

So I come out as Asexual to them and my dad basicly said,"No,youre not" and my mom was like,"You just havent met the right person."

So now,im kinda confused,I mean,im pretty sure im Ace,but what if im not?Im honna take psychology classes later on,and got a book on mental disorder,and so now im just womdering if I have SAD.

If you feel you are ace then go ahead and be ace. If it turns out that some time down the line you find someone you want to have sex with that's ok and it doesn't make you less ace now. Sexuality can change. And if in 80 years you still haven't found anyone you want to have sex with, that's fine as well. Some people are asexual, whether your parents accept that or not. You are the only one who can define what you are. And asexual, like any sexuality, is a spectrum. Some people don't like physical contact at all, some like cuddling, some like kissing, some even like sex when they are really close with that person,... All of that is under the ace umbrella. So, if you identify with any of that you can call yourself ace. It solely depends on what you feel is right for you.

That's a philosophical question, I guess. But I didn't mean the "change" that you just find out more about yourself when exploring what you actually are. Yes, I used to think I was straight, then I thought I was bi and now I'm pretty convinced I'm pan. But I do think your sexuality can actually change. Not for everyone and maybe not even drastically. But the brain changes constantly, your taste in food or music or clothes can change - why not also your taste in partners? 🤷

well, what i did was put images of attractive girls and boys in my head, and ask yourself if they are both attractive to you. if they are, congrats, your bi. if you are attracted to them romantically but not sexually then its biromantic. same for bisexual.
