I will say, the views may not necessarily mean as much in ranking as up votes. But you will be able to more easily find the most viewed using the "Hot" or "Top" features.

But how bout in "My Images" section? You can only sort by newest first or oldest first

Because those weren't images which were submitted feature they don't really worry so much about those. Those can only be sorted based on 1) submitted or non-submitted 2) used in comment not used in comment 3) by generator or 4) my oldest/newest.
