Anime Chars

Not always: Look a Meowth of Pokemon, Apache from Beast Wars II, and several other examples... Although Jibanyan doesn't count as he's a ghost

Well, i meant with this meme more the animes where people actually can die. So the chars in pokemon don't or can't die. I don't know how it is in Beast Wars II but in the around 400 Animes I've watched it was mostly so, that every time they gave us the past of the char he died some episodes after.

*Considers bringing up Naruto, but decides against as I am not up to date with the series anymore*

Most of the Anime you've seen must be pretty serious and/or violent*

Well, i don't wanna spoiler you with naruto but there it happens also a few times. Of course not every one who dies has first the past but the semi main and mains (anta included) has mostly one. And... no I haven't watched so much violent animes. Depends on what for you is violent ^^ I would say the most fighting animes have this moments with the past. Of course an romantic anime doesn't have these situations exept some special things of anime xD
