He thinks he knows better (when he's lucid -- which is not often, apparently), rolling back clean air regulations, clean water regs, climate regs, bans on importation of endangered species' animal parts, car milage regs, methane polluting regs, opening up millions of acres of public lands & national forests to mining & drilling interests... etc., etc., etc. All stuff that most America is NOT for, and in fact, even industry is not in favor of some of this stuff.

Graduating from Harvard Law does not make one "intelligent"; it only confirms the ability to study and perform well on tests. Intelligence is actually the ability to THINK, REASON, DEDUCE, INFLECT, WEIGH, and includes Intellectual Curiosity -- a mark of true intelligence -- which causes one to grow and not be narrow-minded. It also -- granted, IMO only -- includes not being a demagogue. Which Shapiro can be.

In my book, that doesn't make him highly intelligent. I know geniuses -- actually geniuses -- who never went to college, that are smarten than Shapiro.

I have plenty of Republican friends where we disagree with each other on many things. But these friends are not narrow-minded. They will "allow in" others' points of view, if they can be shown there is truth or validity to them.
