however as I said, your talking point was a very typical right wing talking point and classic whataboutism. Sure if theres a problem about "black on black" crime we should discuss it, however it is a severe failiure to bring it up as an excuse to why we should do nothing on gun control or white nationalist terrorism.

Not neccesarily about you specifically. You then clarified your political positions and proved you probably weren't right wing.

Subsequently I said that I technically never called you right wing, I called your talking point typical of the right wing, because instead of adding something of value to the debate, you used a different problem to distract from the first one.

In this equation one problem doesn't cancel out the other, they are both valid problems and should be adressed. The problem is that usually they are both not addressed partly due to them only being used as arguments to whack the "other side" over the face.

Personally I would like there to be progress on both problems. However I was commenting on the first one, not the second one. If you want to bring forth the second that is fine, just stop using it as a baton to pummel peoples arguments for change.

I still haven't gotten to your sources so I don't know if this second problem is true, but I will take your word for it.

To be honest I got pulled into your like of thinking when you said I had called you right wing, so I responded as if I had called you right wing, when I hadn't. I think my response was perfectly fine though as by itself it speaks truth, one can be right wing but be a democrat.(Like Amy Klobuchar, who is right wing on economic issues, maybe not on a few social ones)

But it did all go in the wrong direction, seeing as I originally didn't mean to call you right wing. It's hard to get perfect coherence if replies and answers are many days apart xD My baaad

I'm guessing it is highly related to gun deaths, and also the conditions in which these people are living? Multiple problems which dems are trying to fix that are being blocked by Republicans....
