Advantages of Java edition:
• You only need 5 planks to craft a boat, no shovel
• More customizable skins, resource packs, and data packs
• In my opinion, commands are more understandable
• Spectator mode exists
• You get to see your FPS, position, difficulty and all that
• Axes are stronger than swords
• You get to customize a superflat world
• You get to play older versions of the game
• You get to change the world border size
• You can give yourself advancements
• Debug sticks and debug mode exist
• It gets updated first
Advantages of Bedrock edition:
• You get to dye cauldrons
• Chicken jockeys don't exist
• You get to push chests and furnaces with pistons
• Realistic eating animation (but I don't like it)
• Performs better and faster
• Swords are stronger than axes
• NPC's exist
• In education edition, you can craft underwater TNT (sodium and TNT, I think)
• You can't take damage in creative mode
• A jeb_ sheep will still change colour if you shear it
• Armor stands have arms
• Minecarts used to be faster in Legacy Console edition
