Shit, I forgot a memester is the authority of politics and history. I’m versed fine on the history myself, and though gerrymandering is a specific term from redrawing districts to exclude or include certain demographics of people, the electoral college does basically the same with our modern structure of politics. It allows republicans to win when they aren’t doing anything good for the whole. It prevents a popular vote and allows a smaller mob to rule.

Your ignorance continues to shine however. Electoral college also allowed the two worst presidents ever (Carter and Obama) to win as well as the two best (Washington and Reagan). So it works just fine. Does no GERRYMANDERING at all, as the state lines aren't changed to "rig" anything. It's not a modern idea, but one ingrained in the country from the start. Popular vote is completely meaningless EXCEPT within the confines of each sovereign state. And pity, to get rid of the wonderful EC, you'd have to win the popular votes of most of those states in an Amendment process, something not likely to happen.

So stop your whining, accept the forefathers knew better than you, the system is still relevant and still beneficial to the entire country. No matter what the "popular vote" morons want to claim.
