I've heard some people say that they NEED to "defend" God. But logically, can't God defend Himself?

In another post here I said something top the effect of why do people use God's name in vain, when they wouldn't use a family member's name like that.
Someone commented that if someone used their wife's name as an insult she could easily defend herself. So I wonder what kind of loving husband would allow someone to mistreat their wife's name and not come to her defense. I guess perhaps God allows us to talk about him and defend him more for our benefit and to show our love for Him since it doesn't affect his existence at all what opinion others have of Him. Just as someone doubting or bad mounting my mom wouldn't affect her existence or even her value but how would it be showing my love if I didn't stand up for her? Am I making sense?

Unfortunately, most people use the Lord's Name in vain out of habit that started when they were teenagers. After hearing it so often from their parents, their neighbors, their classmates, in movies etc. they just incorporated it into their own daily speech. And after saying it for so long, it has reached the point where it spews forth from their mouths without them even thinking about it!

No joke. If you rebuke someone for using God's Name as a cuss, a lot of times that person won't even remember saying it! It's just so commonplace

The biggest problem I have with the "God's Not Dead" movie. They make the kid into God's lawyer, imo.

At least the first one. I'm scared to see the other two.

because the worlds not perfectly suppose.The bible says that the deviel has equal powers for example,devil made cancer, and god made the advancements to help heal it.But some people say that all the need is god to heal, and they refuse life saving treatment.So...what?People die horrid deaths, but people also mysteriously heal.So are we really blaming god for the stuff the devil did because we cant tell who did what?I dont know.
