You seem nice, like a person who just wants to be accepted. The way I accomplish this, is to just accept it whenever someone insults you. I just say, fair enough. Or you could on occasion be a 'cool kid', I do this too, and make things that are obviously jokes. And are so bad they are rent meant to be funny, and that's what ends up making them funny.
