*takes deep breath*.....Man I've always been into all sorts of music, that's about all I did when I was a kid-- listen to music & play guitar. I still listen to all the old metal bands that I grew up listening to, the obvious stuff like Slayer, Metallica, thrash stuff I guess you'd call it...Anthrax, Sepultura, Overkill, Testament, But I have favorites from different genres: country (CLASSIC country not that shit they call pop country on the radio these days. I like the old guys, Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, Waylon, George Jones, David Allan Coe, Willie... Also love classic rock, you know Hendrix, Zep, Skynyrd Van Halen shit. 70's & 80's stuff -everything from Misfits to the Cure, - I could really go on. I just like music that is performed with authenticity & comes from the heart. I saw Manson a few times in the 90's. Always an intense show...What about yourself?

Honestly I have gone through a lot of phases of genres man, and kept them with me tbh. My surroundings growing up was multicultural to say the least, my Dad was a skinhead and I followed him (obviously) so a lot of English bands from 70s 80s growing up, skinheads back then mixed with blacks and that genre was called "SKA" bands like the Specials and Madness was constant, I got into the Prodigy/Detroit Techno and Rap in my teens, I think Jonny Cash/Bob Dylan/Neil Young are class I like British more as they relate and my drug issue draws me to the legends that do i.e Rolling Stones Kasabian and that is an issue for me tbh, My Hero's are users and music makes my soul happy!! Go figure

I remember Madness. Wasn't into techno much, maybe for a short while...Chemical Bros. & stuff like that. I listened to a lot of the early gangsta rappers as a kid but not much later on. I agree about certain artists drawing you in that you can relate with. When you know someone else has been there, you feel their music even more deeply.
