Because it isn't QUITE one day yet. Maybe it's still in the 24th hour of the day the comment was made. Same with 4 weeks and 1 month, or 1 year when it's almost 2 years. Say you made a meme 1 year and 11 months ago it will show as 1 year until it is actually 2 years old. Etc...
