but,id take water.If I can hear it, that should mean its running, and if im not making too much noise, it could he muffle sounds.I can also hear it, and see if it leads to anything overly dangerous just by hearing it.(like a ledge for example)and also, sewers (sounds gross but..)sewers have exits and that could be a possible escape.Light could maybe be a trap, but they could also probably see me and run more after me,so thats out.And complete darkness isn't good, no sight can slow me down,and I wouldn't be able to tell if theres a cliff or something at the end.

I see you took a hint from my answer.

If I choose to run towards the light, my captors will notice me because of the light. If I go the path of darkness with water, my captors eill know I'm there because they'll hear there's something in water, something being me. If I run towards the utter darkness, my captors will notice that there is nobody on the light path and there are no sounds of anything jumping in or swimming in water, and since there is no other way, I must have gone the path of utter darkness. So either way, I'm screwed :/
