Who started Black Star?

I don't hate on re-posters but I agree on trying to create originals more!!

Black Star (Alliance) isn’t about reposts. It’s about rejecting the points system.

Then I am still in favor really as I think the generator and comment threads is where its at, I thought original memes was part of it though man, It wasn't tho?

No, there was a user who tried to redefine the BSA to their liking. I created the BSA (originally the Black Square Alliance prior to the icon changes), so I get to claim the purpose.

I knew about the squares but I also recall Damon K (i think him) making points about making your own "original" and not just banging the same old reposts out there as the reposts where becoming like buses 1 after the other!! boring all of us. How would you change the points system anyway if you could?? Peeps love the points man, its a game that leaderboard, I never knew I was on it until a month ago!! like I said, its not for me, I never check the frontpage/upvotes or points much and I'm genuinely only interested in the inbox and generator.

I still upvote memes I like and only like, and not for the sake of it, that defies the system for me personally

Eliminate the points, the leaderboard, and even the follow users feature. Everyone is on the same footing, and each meme stands on its own.

The Leader board is a double edged sword tho, Its just on what kind of merit that got you there is the issue. Don't care for the Icon status myself either i knew BSA stood on that as well tbh (obviously) this follow feature I think will make memes stand on there own Andrew, I am trying to do rounds on my list, man I see some crazy funny memes with 1/2 upvotes 2 weeks old and if it wasn't for the feature I would of missed em, see how it goes tho eh? I think dormant accounts need to be looked at as well
