Marriage seems to be entered into lightly these days. I did not enter my marriage with flippancy, too bad I can't say that for my ummm... other half.

I agree. I want to be serious aboyt a girl i marry. Make sure sh is the right one. I eant the first one to be the right one. But i will not just be reckless. I will make sure she os right before marriage

That is how it should definitely be. People do not consider what marriage IS. I mean, you are sleeping with and waking up with the SAME PERSON EVERY SINGLE DAY. If you are angry and do not want to see their face you are stuck looking at it anyway. ALL their irritating habits will be a part of your life, every irritating thing they do while dating will be 100 times more annoying when you live with them, then there will be even more annoying habits because once you live together you discover MORE things you hate. If they are remotely flippant and neglectful BEFORE marriage, you can expect that to increase 500% once you are married. I could write a BOOK! LOL

Not necessarily. Some women stay with "the right person" and put up with all manner of abuse. So do some men. That does not mean they are the right person, it means an abuser has sucked in a person who they can abuse and still keep them at home. The right person is not going to bring you stress and problems, they will do what they can to reduce your stress and problems. That does not mean marriage with the right person will be problem free, it means that the right person is not going to inflict themselves on you.
