I mean, it is a publicly funded show. So of course they're going to need to cut costs. Even if means having an animation quality that even a 12-year-old can exceed.

Yup. The bigger shocker to the fact that Arthur is still airing new episodes, apparently they thought Mr. Ratburn was too single and too nerdy waaay too long to be a straight guy, so they made him gay and had him married in a recent episode.
