A tip just for using imgflip effectively:
If you want to reply to a certain person find a comment that they made and hit "reply". I only saw this because I happened to scroll down here. If you do it this way the person may not see your comment because they will not get a notification, unless the comment you made was on one that person's own memes.

When your stream gains enough followers it will show up in the stream list. I do not know exactly how many followers you must have because that has never been revealed to us. Is your stream set to public?

Yes. You must go to your streams. It will have images waiting to be featured there. It will say "images pending approval". Unless you chose to set it to auto approve. And yes you can post in your own stream.

It is a good idea to set a mod or two as well. That way if you are not here people will not have to wait forever for memes to be featured.
