Yes. Or at least the probability that we find a huge amount of indicators, which would allow us to differ "naturally" generated Gold from "synthetically" generated gold, is pretty high.
To put out an example, we are able to measure if a copper wire, you know these standard copper wire cables which are used to provide you current all around in your house, is either fresh, new and still shiny at the inside or if current flowed already trough it.
If we would adjust the measurement correctly, we would even be able to measure how much current flowed through the copper wire.
( Hmm, not pretty exact, but we could measure a lower threshold and the least amount, depending of the lenght of the copper wire.)
