I tell ya, the worry is worse than the pain. I walk around wondering if my face is about to shut down again. Plus the palsy ruined my hearing. After I had that my acoustic reflex became very poor, the right side was affected but the left became sympathetic. So both ears are a little too easy of hearing. The past few days my hearing has been extra sensitive. My daughter was talking to me a minute ago and I had to cover my ears. And I'm out of ear plugs, so church is gonna be hard today.

No. It is permanent nerve damage from Bell's Palsy. Not sure why it's hurting me lately.

My wife had bells palsy six different times over the years and had nerve damage as well. But she was recently diagnosed with trigiminal neuralgia too. Not sure if one caused the other, or if they are two separate things. I feel for you. I know it's painful :(

I only had it once so far. I feel sorry for your wife. Did it affect her hearing?

She's 46, but contacted Lyme disease at the age of 7, but didn't have it diagnosed or treated for thirty years. So she's had lots of health problems all her life from it. The bells palsy started maybe 20 years ago
