I'm trying to help people get more points!

I just don't understand why they changed it, unless they're trying to cut down the number of people who are taking up so much space below memes with long threads

Right. I up vote regardless. I never considered whether we got points for it. Of course lately I have been slacking. I wasn't feeling well, so was a little low on my general activity.

Now I am confused... are you saying the person who made the meme on which we comments gets points for our comments, or we get points for comments we make? Or both?

I was hoping someone would reply to my meme with the rules. Somebody posted them the other day, and I remember seeing something about your first reply to someone gets you 20 points but after that nothing!

I'm not sure if there was a recent change in the points system, but there could have been one that I wouldn't know about. Since the comment timer was changed, there may have been some adjustments to how points for comments work.

The only thing I can add for sure to nixie's purple comment is all users get one point for voting on featured creations, not just new users. That could change down the road.

I have heard users only get 20 points for their first two submissions per day to a stream, some user-created streams allow more than two submissions per day. I've never checked if that's the case for those additional submissions.

Makes sense that they would change the points for comments along with the timer. I never thought about the points for leaving a comment. I do comment a lot though. I will gladly trade points for no comment timer any day.

Socrates posted this a long while back, I always have to go digging for it because I can't remember what it says. This is what it used to be. I do not know if they changed it. Andrew usually comments on this stuff, but it seems more in the imgflip stream rather than the Fun stream.

I did not see the name change on their profile. It is a new account, but I am suspicious that it could be someone who deleted and then came back. Trying to interact some and hopefully figure it out.
