I admit that I don't post my own begging as much as I up vote everyone who does, but it isn't a harm to anyone. A lot of new users need a boost to reach their goals sometimes. I say beg on! I will up vote all of them. Unless it's someone who is not up voting others. I warn them, and if they keep it up I pass theirs by.
