Like you, I always told myself that I would never try online dating but it seems the only way people meet each other now 🤷 and people my age seem seldom interested in anything other than casual hook ups which isn't something that interests me.
To be honest I have next to zero interest in finding a significant other at the moment due to other priorities. Its something I'll be considering in the future when I'm a little more settled.
Despite my reservations about online dating it's probably the only place that I would get to meet people who share similar interests.

Yea, I actually joined to site just to meet people my age and chat, dating was not a priority for sure but that's what happened. I'm glad however I was able to work through alot of issues before we met. I wouldn't have been emotionally stable enough to be a good wife or mother. So God's timing was better in my case at least.

Aww, perhaps your future spouse is saying the same thing. I feel like when 2 people are meant for each other it will happen eventually of you follow your heart.

I met my wife September 23, 1991.

I lived in San Francisco with a female friend from college at the time, we were just friends and roommates. A person called that day for my roommate, who was not home and out on a date, so I said that she wasn't home to the caller. An hour or so later same person calls asking for my roommate again,
said they had a ticket for her to see the Special Beat, a band made up of members from two other bands, The Specials and The English Beat.

I explained again my roommate was out, probably not coming back that night, so the caller asked if I wanted to go instead.

We met at the Warfield on Market St. in San Francisco that night.

We dated for most of 15 years, got married in 2006.

I also saw Deee-Lite and Phish at the Warfield in the 90's. Very memorable nights.

Yes I am lucky. I was thinking about that, a lot of my good fortunes in life have been from having the luck to be in the right place at the right time, taking a chance and acting on the opportunities that come along. You never know where life will take you.
