The Old Whig / Classical Liberal spirit of the First Amendment is to curtail ANY monopolization of power and forceful propagation of opinion. The First Amendment only grants freedom of organized religion; as an atheist, I am exempt and can force my views on your kids. The First Amendment only prevents the GOVERNMENT from forcing its opinions on you, you dumb conservatives! When the Tyrell Corporation owns half the solar system, they are free to force all employees to convert to Scientology and can fire you for quoting Bernie Sanders on a private message board.
