Educational attainment: Arizona 36, California 50

Housing is 3 times more expensive here in calif.

State tax rate is twice what you pay in AZ.

Car insurance is about twice what the same driver/car would pay in AZ

Every place has good points and bad, but if you think Az is bad, I can assure you Calif is worse

And those “facts” support yours???

As I said, it depends on the metrics, and who is doing the polling. If you think paying more for less is a good metric, then you should move here. After all, the “opportunity” category shows California isn’t at the bottom of the barrel.

so is Texas and new york and Minneapolis and all other large population areas that is why your cost of living is high commerce in action

obviously, you and I are looking at the metrics in a different way. You take your ball and go home, I'll take my ball and go home. If you hate Az, move. If you hate your situation, change it in a positive manner. If you want everything given to you, vote for Bernie. Just don't be surprised when he has no more stuff to give to you.
