While that is generally true, in many cases these migrants are leaving their countries only for economic benefit. That is not a valid reason for asylum. This is a country of rules and laws for a reason. Without rules and laws you have chaos. In chaos, you have theft, assault, rape, murder, etc. Living in a world of no rules and laws is not good. If we do not enforce our immigration laws, chaos will soon take hold.

There are no wars, other than narco wars, currently being fought in South or North America. Immigration is fine, as long as it is done legally. All the people following the legal path to citizenship are being skipped by people who commit a crime as their first order of business when entering this country. It's an unsustainable practice and the likes of Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer will soon agree there is a crisis/emergency at our southern border. They may not admit it until Trump is out of office, though. That is a total dereliction of the duties they swore to uphold. The politics are disgusting in this situation. We either have a border and immigration laws or we don't. Right now, many on the left are behaving like we don't. It's insanity.

Yes, of course. That is not represented at the US-Mexico border. Separate issue altogether. The caravans of immigrants coming from the south is what I was speaking of. Same with stevenpavelish. There are undoubtedly refugees from the war-torn Middle East. However, vetting those refugees with extreme care is essential because there undoubtedly are wolves in sheep's clothing in that bunch. Personally, I feel that the stable Muslim countries need to take in those refugees. It's not like S. Arabia and Qatar and the UAE don't have the funds to take care of them. Why should it be the US that always has to take in refugees, regardless of their situation?

And the biggest problem is the fact that you cannot trace all of the "bad" immigrants, I say what shoud be done is to check the refuges more, to find as many "bad" refuges and not let them in, and take the risk with those that stay, most of them shoud be harmless, sure some Will slip thfough checks or got unoticed, but guess that's a risk we gotta take for all the woman and children that Will be there.

Okay, please explain to me why the United States of America, a country several thousand miles away, with a generally completely different culture, and a completely different language, should take in these refugees. There are myriad closer countries that have the same culture and language, and that are actually more economically equipped to handle refugees. There is no good argument for sending Middle Eastern refugees to the United States. By the way, is English your first language?
