Actually, I completely disagree.
The voice actors are kinda hit-or-miss IMO.
The story is quite interesting. Yeah, it's not focusing much on adventure. But it's still a cute slice-of-life show with some battles thrown in. It actually does take a break from the slice-of-lifey stuff every now and then like in the Aether (I hope I spelled that right) ark.
The animation in Sun and Moon is the best the series ever had. It only looks bad when you stare at a still frame. I'll have you know that the still frames look kinda off on purpose so the actual movement would look more fluid. You're not even supposed to look at still frames.
And also, I've seen long-time fans of the show really enjoy it.
Overall, I think the Sun and Moon anime is actually really good.
And hey. At least Ash didn't get reset again. He is more childish in Sun and Moon than in XY&Z, but he's still a skilled trainer. Hell, we even get scenes where Ash actually trains his Pokémon to get stronger (which I honestly liked a lot).
