Yeah, I saw the Mario movie and it was like they played one game and were like, "Let's make a movie." Pikachu though he does look kinda cute, and that's coming from someone who's never played a single Pokémon game in his life, also comes across as rather forced what with all the video game movies Hollywood has been trying to make since the 90's.

Why is delaying the film necessary?!

Hollywood was so frightened at people's response at the first Sonic they made that they needed to edit him when they got flack for it. Thus the delay. And I think maybe they don't want to go the route of The Mario Movie, Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat again. I just saw Assassin's Creed and it was meh. I've never played but I do know it takes place a lot in the past and it took too much time in the here and now. So there's that as well.
