so dis boi is named ken, ken kanikei whos a college student who goes to this coffee shop with his best friend hide.he says he has a Cush on the this girl named rise and wants to date her, some talk happens and he sees that the both have the same favorite author.so they go on a date and rise says that she scared to go home alone and so ken walks her home.but rise is a ghoul and attacks him but right when she's about to kill him steel beams fall on her, killing her instantly, and someone finds ken and hes transported to a hospital, where hes in critical condition and needs organs, STAT so the doctor makes a disesion and he has rises organs put into him, making him a half ghoul.now ken has to eat human flesh to survive but he doesn't want to, and he foes a long time without eating anything.And at the coffee shop where they met rise, there was a high school (a joiner or senior I think) witress who's name is touka and when ken goes to an alleyway (a corpse was there and he smelled it so her ran there thinking it was normal food) the ghoul who was eating the corpse was killed by a ghoul who was about to kill kanikei but touch intervenes,so he lives,touka recognizes him and tries to get him to eat because starving is 10x worse for ghouls then humans so ken is suffering, but ken spits it out, saying he doesn't want to become a master like her

*monster like her and she gets mad at him saying that saying that was unfair and a douche move and he faints and she takes him to anteku (the coffee shop) where the manager says that if he works for him hell teach him the ways of being a ghoul

ken leaves with a package of human meat and hes SO close to eating it, but he exercises self control and when he tries to open up the bag he flings it aross the room and yells at himself, but eventually he has to go back to class and hide asks him if he wants to go get some statistic papers from this guy called nishki whos an upperclassman ,so they go together but it turns out nishki is the ghoul who killed the ghoul who was eating the human (the one touka fought off) and he was like
OwO?You dare appose me mortal?
and then hes just like
I dont have the papers theyre at my house, but its really close by, we could go get them if you want
and hide is like yeah sure
and then kenikei is like,yo,ill go with you!
and so they walk a bit the nishki just f**king kicks hide down an alleyway and hide faints and nishki grabs ken by the neck and holds him up to a wall and is like
you think your f**king better than ME?!?! YOU DARE CHALLENGE MY THRONE TO MY HUNTING GROUNDS?! but ken gets that sweet sweet adrenaline rush and almost kills him and after that hes just like
I be hungry as hell
and he sees hide and is like
OWO?!A SNACC HAS APPERED-
but touka comes and is just like
oh and im a monster?
and ken is like YOU BETTER SHUT DA HELL YO MOUTH IM HUNGRY AND IM GOING TO EAT HIM
and touka is just like.......no-
and knocks him out and takes him back to anteku and hes just like
im not hungry anymore and he has blood in his mouth and the manager comes out and is just like
hey, how you doing son?
and hes like
where did the blood come from?
