My individual plan is about $4000/year more now than before the ACA and my deductible has more than doubled. God bless you if you think the government can do a better job than the private sector.

That's exactly what the public option was supposed to prevent but the opposition got so precious about having to do that.

That's why the insurance companies still think they're allowed to charge whatever they want with no consequences.

That's because I lived in Chicago until last August. I'm just out of the country for work for a bit.

And you'll never guess what, but I haven't spent one wooden nickel on health insurance since. And the taxes are about the same. So, Utopia? Probs not. But could it work? *looks around* why not? This place isn't doing anything that Americans couldn't.
