True story (again): My father moved out to California for awhile in his youth with two friends (twins) and they stayed with their uncle. John Wayne's stunt double.

There was a time when Ben Johnson worked as a stunt man and horse wrangler. John Ford gave him a shot in front of the camera as himself and the rest was history. He worked on over 300 films. And was married to the same woman his whole life.
