That’s actually a good question. They said that there are no living Asguardians who remember her. Frigga is dead and seems to be the same age as Odin. If she is the mamma then I’m surprised to see that such a nice, kind, gentle loving mother could raise such a sick, twisted excuse for a goddess. Odin must have been a monumental prick back in the day cause Hela turned out completely mentally warped.

Odin can’t have been that bad anyway. He’s the son of Bor or Bjor or something Scandinavian. Asguard existed way before Odin so he must have just conquered nearby planets & took some gold & shite as a reward for his campaign. Hela apparently outgrew his ambition (Odin isn’t even that ambitious to start with) so he sent her to Hellheim. You would think that he could talk her out of it at least as he is obviously a very forgiving king & quite understanding. Either way you’d at least expect Frigga to intervene & chat with her about her actions.
Lot of ways to resolve this but whoever wrote the script needed a ‘white colonialism iz bad’ narrative.

Bad parenting right there. Odin is obviously a c**t but Frigga should have done something. I mean where was she this whole time? Asguardians take ages to look older & apart from Odin, she is the only person that looks older than 60. Do we’re talking like 4000 years old at least.
Odin is supposed to be half a million according Thor at the beginning of the film. So Frigga might be round that age too.
