The day that Christ rose from the dead was the end of Passover week (or it was the week immediately after). When Christ ate what's famously called 'the Last Supper' with his disciples before he died, they were celebrating Passover. So Easter is connected with Passover.
And one of the purposes of the Jewish feast of Passover is to commemorate the time that God delivered the Israelites from Egypt by the hand of Moses. That's when Passover was instituted. So that's how they're connected.
There are probably also deeper connections between them, such as the themes of salvation and deliverance by God, but I don't know enough about those to explain them properly.
The times when Easter is celebrated is also connected to Passover in modern times (I think Easter is generally celebrated on the first Sunday after Passover). I hope that helps.
