The acting was top notch, the tunes were SO CATCHY, the color was surreal, and it's still one of the most watched films ever!

I still haven't recovered from the flying monkey scene...

This scene right here haunted me FOR MANY YEARS! Poor Dorothy was yelling to Aunty Em in the crystal ball, and all of a sudden Aunty Em disappeared and was replaced by what you see in the picture there! LOL

For what it's worth, she was actually honored that year by the Academy Awards for her outstanding performance as a screen juvenile in both The Wizard of Oz and Babes in Arms :-)

I’m sure she deserved it—one of the all time bests!!
