This... I don't agree so much. This is valid in a small number of cases. Just compare the difference of average salary between man and women... or the number of women killed by men, with the number of men killed by women.
Well the salary thing was laughable at best since it's illegal to have different salaries and women tend to choose part-time more but the following you're right you can't judge on those ones
I was referring on a global scale, not just in the US. This, considering only "first and second world" countries. For instance, see this example from the UK: https://www.bbc.com/news/business-43129339
It means that the gender wage gap is fake and it's just average like I said women tend to do part-time despite most mothers working full time. While men are more likely to choose full time since this was, in general, it's almost invalid the only time you can say there's a wage gap if you look at the average of hours also if they're about similar hours and different wages it's safe to assume a gap otherwise your point becomes invalid.
You are certainly entitled to your interpretation of this. And it's safe to assume that the "imaginary gap" is becoming increasingly smaller. That said, the reality of part-time jobs is none-existent in the countries I better know - economically for families it's not valid, and companies only offer it to young students.
