I know the two don't normally run together, but he claims he's Hillary Loving Democrat and would have defended her under the same "Coup D'etat" attempt... This will either endear him to both sides of alienate him. He was an Obama supporter until he came out publicly and told the world Obama lied to him about his support of Israel and basically through them under the bus in the IRAN deal.
In the end, Alan Dershowitz tends to do the right. Often, recently, he has been so without staying beholden to partisanship. Kudos to him. Wish more political/social leaders approached it that way.
He is far from right leaning. But if you're an attorney you should want to defend the constitution, and he has applauded Trump for support of Israel and Civil Liberties. He also said supporting anything Trump does has been more difficult from his inner circles than it was to defend OJ. Think about that for a moment.
