Black Girl Wat Meme | YOU SAY HOME IMPROVEMENT LIKE IT'S A BAD THING | image tagged in memes, black girl wat | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
Alot of my side work consists of just that, upgrading and updating houses with newer better insulation, windows, appliances, low flush toilets, led lighting etc. Our Hydro companies gives rebates and insentives for that aswell as tax breaks. There is nothing wrong with updating your house with more energy efficient cozier products. We also have very strict guidlines, regulations and inspections as to products we can use so we dont have fires like the on in UK had that Red has mentioned.

I am all for better insulation, the best is ceramic bassed, its not flammable either (try to burn a tile). The cost is so damn high right now. Most families could help a lot by just doing new windows but they cant afford that.
as far as toilets go, even the older ones can be helped by myriatic acid. Many older homes can have a lyme buildup that clogs the jets in the toilet rim and ppl have to flush 3 times. My dads house was the same way. I got some acid from the job (from pals at the plumbers union) . You can buy it at Home depot too. Poured it down the center tube and let sit for an hr (with exh fan out window bad stuff) and the lyme all dissolved.his water bill went down 20%.

There's another little tip for toilets, you can put a liner in the toilet tank along the sides to displace the water and use less to flush. Not to mention any improvents on your house also increases the value. Removing insulation and drywall from houses pre 1990's helps get rid of asbestos or lead paint that was widely used in construction early on.

actually asbestos isnt that bad as long as it doesnt get crushed . when it becomes dust its then dangerous. It has great capabilities, many older homes have the siding too. But once disturbed, look out. My dad is also an electrician (retired) he used to sweep up asbestos dust from old steam pipes at the second oldest power plant in america (1902) they didnt wear masks, he is ok but he is a lucky exception , almost 80.
Good idea on the liner. Many toilet floats are adjustable now and have a setting to lower the float level too for less water.
The best way to conserve tho is recycling , every township should have 1

almost double if you get the safer, non flammable insulation . saw a BBC show on that high rise fire that killed 72 last yr. It was the cheaper kind.
