Jesus wasn't old at the time, but he may have been drunk. He wasn't even claiming to be God's son or anything, he was just a Jewish rabbi who preached about how we should love each other and how God is more important than the government. The Roman empire didn't like that idea, so they crucified him and made society think that Christianity was bad. Later on, though, there came an emperor who approved of it and it eventually took the empire down.
