I live in the u.k. & as a younger man in my flat/apartment never paid for a t.v. Licence.
The authorities have no right without a warrant to enter a property & even if they do enter & find a t.v. The onus is still on them to prove it was being used to access t.v. Channels ( not being used for XboX etc ).
But short answer pay licence fee if you don’t want hassle... or refuse and keep your money but have a lot of time wasted by the authorities.
