As a fan of both games semi equally, i say yes, at first it was a rip off, no doubt, but the way its played is very different. Take running out in the open, with fortnites bloom, the person have a chance to react and build cover right there, but pubg, if the shooter has good aim, the pefson dies before he knows what happened.
