You Calvinists say we can't "choose Jesus" or "accept Jesus" because that would be like us taking credit for salvation, trying to work for it or "earn" it. So, if you planted a tree, grew the tree, cut the tree down, made it into boards, built a bookcase out of it and then offered it to me as a gift and I gratefully accepted it ... I'm guessing you would accuse me of "taking credit for it," of trying to "earn it"!?!
