Maybe. I don't take it as being malicious. They probably genuinely think they are being funny. Just seems like a breach of etiquette to me.

They made a fun stream for a reason.

Define politics?

Any comment that uses a political theme to it. Its happened several times recently and I am restraining myself despite my being completely on the other side of political spectrum so as to avoid offending the commenter. Leave politics to the political section as you shouldn't assume everyone agrees with you and t least there it's expected.

It seems that if you post anything that someone disagrees with it can suddenly become politics, e.g. http://i,imgflip.com/2r0x6b.jpg which was intended as a joke, but was unfeatured as it didn't meet the posting requirements of the stream.

Its not that I am taking offense at it, its purposely adding politics to the fun section using the comment section I find it rude, but generally keep my thoughts to myself. Keep fun section fun. But if it continues should I respond in kind and bring the fun section back to the presplit days? I would prefer to not make enemies here. Burntfingerforge and I disagree politically, but I like his sense of humor. I would never consider commenting politically in his fun submissions.

Laughing at the political players can be in fun. Opinions of the issues need to stay in politics.

Each time has been a one time comment, probably meant to be funny. Problem with politics as with religion, not everyone shares your thoughts. One reason I stick to the Fun section. :)

Same here! My only issue with even the humerous remarks is the troll fest and hostile exchanges they lead to., Not everyone has a sense of humor when it comes to politics. I venture over to the politics stream now and then but I don't post in it and I have never made it beyond page 1. LOL

I think it's good if the comments match the meme. Ie, keep political comments for the political memes. If it's a fun meme, probably that's not the right place to bring up political points (unless the meme-maker has brought up the topic in the comments). Fun comments can go on political memes with no problem though.

I feel the same frustration with NSFW comments on non-NSFW memes (again, unless the meme-maker starts it).
