I came out of high school knowing that they had prepared me for life in the real world only if I wanted to become a teacher working in the public education system. I have always found that beyond sad.
I homeschool my kids. Funny how much I have learned right along side them. Strange how much easier math is when I can learn it independently. The kids are good at it also. Thankfully!

Awesome! Homeschooling is much better for the child.
Since graduating high school I've never faced a situation where I needed to use algebra or dissect an unborn pig. I have also since discovered that the "i before e" rule is a complete myth. But learning to use a plastic spoon to flip small pieces of food into the band of somebody's clothing has proved a useful skill at the club on ladies night when the male strippers are on stage; so I guess the public education system does have its uses. Stay in school, kids.
