Rude awakening

Animals really hate fireworks! My mom said her chihuahua was terrified. We didn't have anyone around here doing fireworks. It was extremely foggy and raining.

Didn't bother my Husky one bit.

Unfortunately, we don’t have a dog anymore. But I remember how scared she used to get. We have cats, but they hide most of the time anyway...

I had to look that word up. Lol. I think my son has it. He’s autistic. He likes the fireworks though! He only gets scared when they get too close... : )

Perhaps his is a sensory thing. I have known autistic children who struggled with overstimulation though sound or crowded areas and such.

That’s it. Definitely sensory issues. Loud noises, food textures, touching his hair... poor guy. Everyday is an adventure. And a challenge. But it’s worth every moment! : )
