What's a Director supposed to do in today's film market? Ishii-San tries to get the ol' King to "tone it down" without unnecessarily demotivating his star.
The big production companies set the standard and the masses follow like lemmings. The only way directors can get noticed on low budgets are to either be crass or extremely violent. There is nothing new under the sun and the big companies just want to hypnotize the sheeple. Sad really.
GOING TO A MOVIE TODAY IS A LOT LIKE VOTING. YOU REALLY WANT TO SEE ONE YOU LIKE, BUT NONE LOOK ALL THAT APPEALING. YOU END UP CHOOSING ONE THAT WILL ANNOY YOU LESS AND TAKE THE LEAST AMOUNT OF YOUR MONEY.
