Yeah that's even worse. I mean why go to a concert just to watch it through the tiny screen on your phone.

It beyond me my deer. My first thought is - why do it when that same show is gonna be online anyway. It actually adversely affects how you remember the show and people rarely go back and rewatch their crappy recordings anyway.
I've read that often it's for "bragging rights". Wow. Last summer I travelled to Dallas to see an old fav band who I'd never seen. First song into it dude in front of me starts recording. 3 songs in I asked him if he was gonna record the entire concert. He got attitudinal and says "yeah maybe". I said then could you email me a copy so I can see the show as well?
I got to see the rest of the show just fine after that. XD

Lol I wish I had the nerve to say something like that XD. Yeah I see some people uploading pics and videos during the concert to social media. People seem to think everyone needs to know what they're doing 24/7 lol I find it a little narcissistic. For me it completely defeats the purpose of going to see a band live I'm there for the experience.

Yes it's like a chess game, you gotta think ahead. But I felt SO much better having asserted myself.
Narcissism is an ugly disease. It feeds off the energy of all those around the person affected. I just figured I paid good money for my ticket and that person is literally stealing from me by blocking my view.
/ another possible approach - ask them to kindly switch places with you?
