The meaning of life a debatable concept that is different for each species. Although the reason for the existence of some species is to be eaten by other animals, are there more reasons to live than just eat, mate, and survive? We humans are more complex than other unconscious species. We have developed an understanding of what happens to ourselves and what happens to the things around us. Unlike other animals, we have the ability to sense boredom among other emotions. The boredom derives from a need to have a purpose. Even in modern times we work hard and strive for a meaning in society. But even as we work, eat, and play all day, we sometimes wonder if there is any meaning in our life and society. We build these complex nations and ways of life but for what? We slave all day to build our society but is there any purpose in such a society? Arguably, our purpose in life could have a deeper meaning than we can possibly consider. What if our species was created with a reason for our consciousness. It is possible to think that we are created to rule over the vast expanse of the universe. It is a long term project that involves our constant evolution and progression in becoming a more complex species. If we think of it that way, many of us will laugh. It seemes like the natural selection that helps our species evolve has come to a standstill. Even the dumbest, ugliest, craziest, people can survive here and reproduce. Is this weakening us and preventing us from reaching our true purpose? LAZY PEOPLE
