Celsius is NOT abritrary. It very deliberately has 0 as the freezing point of water, and 100 as the boiling point. Unlike Fahrenheit, who just made up a random scale and noted AFTERWARD that water happens to freeze at his 32 mark and happens to boil at his 212 mark.

Someone arbitrarily decided that 0 degrees would be the freezing point of water and 100 degrees would be the boiling point of water. So Celsius has an arbitrary form of reference which doesn't make any any more precise

Well what else could be better. Making the 0 point at the coldest possible point that could be created at the time and the temperature of a healthy human being af 100.
